“Love doesn’t just think about it, Love doesn’t just plan it, Love does it.” – Bob Goff
What doesn’t love do? Going through today and reading the book, Love Does by Bob Goff was one of the best decisions I could have made. Yes, I read this book in the span of one day. This book tells the stories about the unconditional love that has been shown to Goff, that Goff has shown to others and what these things have done to bring him closer to God. THIS GUY EVEN PUT HIS PHONE NUMBER IN THE BACK OF HIS BOOK! How about that? It isn’t every day that you have an author that will take the time to talk to his readers that freely.
In each chapter it starts off with a statement, beginning with what used to happened and what now happens. Following that in each chapter it talks about how that was learned. Now, you’ll have to read the book to figure out what each chapter talks about and what the statements are at the beginning.
Through the book, Goff is extremely transparent. He talks about all of his experiences not leaving out any details to save himself from embarrassment and is very humble throughout the book.
Reading this book alone has changed my heart and given me a new meaning of love. I used to think that love was this googly-eyed thing where you should always be careful of whom you say it to. Though that has changed. I now see it through the eyes of God and that you should love people unconditionally. No person in your life has gotten to you without the plans of God. There are many people who drop into your life at random times and God calls for you to love them unconditionally no matter how much they get on your nerves.
I highly recommend this book to anyone. After all, love does.
